SMSC BILLING SUPPORTED

Interaction with the SMSC permits A7-MS to assess message charges. This can be configured for prepaid and postpaid accounts. Charges can be varied based on time of day, day of week, holidays, MO vs MT, destination address (within carrier, other carrier, international) and account status, among other attributes. Customers with certain plans can be entitled to X number of messages at Y rate, for instance, then at Y2 rate, etc.. This can be used to encourage customers to enroll in higher prepaid plans, for instance.

 

WIDELY  DEPLOYED

 A7-MS is deployed throughout the world. Its ability to automatically monitor accounts and take action is responsible for immediate revenue generation – customers are encouraged to keep account status current in order to avoid service reductions. The system works 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, interacting with customers. Its automated processes surpass what is possible to perform via human operators, in terms of reliability, and around-the-clock functionality.

 

LATEST STANDARDS

The system is able to interact with other data sources using a variety of technologies, including ODBC, XML, 5251, 3270, X.25, Serial Port, UDP, Web, and DDE.

 

FAULT MANAGEMENT


Included Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agents and alerts allow administration using the same tools as other commonly used SNMP administration programs, such as HP OpenView Manager.

 

MANAGEMENT EASE
