Fixed Line SMS

FLSMS is a new ability fueled by the rise of special telephones that connect to the telephone system through traditional means, but also support sending and receiving short messages.

When residences do not have FL-SMS enabled telephones, the system automatically delivers these messages using text-to-speech (computer generated speech).

Service Providers use  FLSMS to provide:

  • SMS messaging from mobile to landline

  • SMS messaging from landline to mobile

  • SMS messages destined for non FLSMS phone are delivered by calling the party and providing the message using text-to-speech.
